If you are familiar with tooth ache, then you probably are familiar with our Endodontists at Langley Dental Centre!

Tooth ache, resulting from injury, or sensitivity to hot or cold foods, and/or swollen gums or face, are sure signs that it is time to make an appointment with an endodontist or visit your dentist as soon as possible for an appropriate treatment, most often a root canal treatment.

During your visit to Langley Dental Centre, you may be referred to our endodontist, who is specialized in treating problems of the tooth pulp (the soft tissues inside a tooth consisting of blood vessels and nerves).

Why Endodontists at Langley Dental Centre, Langley BC?

While all endodontists are dentists, less than three percent of dentists are endodontists.

Endodontists have two or more years of specialized training above and beyond dental school and limit their practice solely to endodontic treatments. On an average, they perform about 25 root canal procedures in a week, handle many other endodontic treatments and address traumatic dental injuries.

Our endodontists are well-equipped with the latest tools and techniques to perform a root canal treatment as necessary. Our endodontists are known to bring out the best results with their highest quality care to save your natural tooth.

We use state-of-the-art technologies such as operating microscopes, digital imaging and ultrasonic instrumentation to treat our patients for the best results.

What can I expect during my visit to Langley Dental Centre at Langley BC?

Our dentists attend to you even in their busy schedules, on short notice and on weekends too. When you visit Langley Dental Centre, our experienced general dentist or family dentist will first assess the painful tooth and will relieve your toothache. The next step would be to schedule an appointment with our endodontist to complete your root canal treatment, as required. You can certainly expect a comfortable experience with gentle handling of your teeth by our specialists.

The root canal procedure will help relieve you from pain when the affected pulp tissue is removed from the tooth. The diseased pulp is replaced with gutta-percha (an inert, biocompatible material) and sealed with a filling. A few days later, a full crown is placed over the treated tooth. You can begin chewing your food with the treated teeth, a week after the treatment is completed.

We advise you to come prepared with any questions you may have so that our friendly staff can answer all your queries to ensure you have a better understanding of your tooth condition and the prescribed treatment.
